I’m just enteretained by who wrote “gadgets” and who wrote “gadget”.
I wrote “gadget” only cause it made more sense… and since we were redesigning the logo, I restated it too. So mine was intentional, I dunno about the others.
Nope you are wrong this was done quite sometime ago. Also how would you know when I was done? I started mine right after accepting the challenge before this got crazy (I was the first to join in this battle dont forget when there was no prize). It was basically done because it was started for another client that dropped the concept.
I dont get the dropshadow comment. Nor the gadgets comment? Am I missing something?
And vegiemite was done almost instantly…lol. So there is no conspiracy.

if folks feel it will make that much of a diff i will rearrange in the order muted thinks they should be in. Except for vegie mites it was amazing how fast he was finished…lol
I still dont understand the gadget and gadgets thing or the dropshadow thing. I think gadgets is better because it is plural and the site deals with multiple gadgets. Meaning folks can comes there and finds gadget(s). At least that is how I see it.

lol…agreed. I just want it to be fair. I almost was going to ask gizmodo to rescind the prize so we can go back to a friendly battle. BUt no harm no foul. I just did not understand the other topic. dropshadows and plurals…lol
seriously this thing got so ugly so quick.
one good thing is I want to start up a few more battles along the same design line (no prize!) and hopefully the attention this whole thing has gotten will pull some people into that. lets hope it has a happy ending ;p
yea I think this will end happily. I really would like more illustrator battle. The next battle I want to do is a photo realistic (near photo) illustrator battle. That would be great.
Plurals… bah! It rolls better saying gadget, it’s almost like “moose”, how it’s singular and plural… doesn’t need to have a “S” implying multiples. I’m just tryin to stir things up

fine now that we cant decide what word we want I say we are going to keep it at gadgetoid it rolls of the tounge and encorperates more than enough letters. so gadgetoid it shall be.

wow, i didn’t mean to start a string of confused/offended posts. i left for the day and came back, and now i feel like i have to apologize.
the dropshadow comment was just poking fun at a way-earlier post DDD made that mentioned that the b&w and color treatments had to be identical aside from colors. i happen to really like MutedLogic’s entry, and i know DDD meant no radical changes among treatments.
the gadget/gadgets thing was just an observation. i frankly don’t care either way about it, but having read gizmodo for a while, i opted to stick with the awkward plural.
i’ve already shown my respect for DDD, MutedLogic, and Simplistik in a “thank you” above, but realistically, you would have had every right to say “screw this, no more battle”. Thankfully, it has all worked out, as evidenced by all the fine entries (which make me lament my entry’s lack of presentational coolness).
i like DDD’s logo thing.
