Position -
Designer with Systems Integration Skills
Budget -
Enough to make payment on an luxury vehicle every month. This is an ongoing part-time position where you will work a set amount of hours, preferably on a fixed schedule, but rotating can be discussed for the right candidate. Exact numbers can be discussed in before or during the interview process.
Scope -
Ongoing work to bring our systems and sites up to modern standards and design trends. Revamp aging sections of our sites, create pages for new products. UI/UX design for customer management panels is also part of the job. Technical writing is sometimes required, so it is preferred that you posses these skills. Ability to slice images and code them into CMS templates is not required, but if you can do that, your are a much more valuable candidate. However, if you are just a great designer, we can also consider integration of the templates on our own, We’ll need to get together and see what you can do so please, contact us for all the details and to schedule an interview.
Shops that Outsource -
We do not desire applicants that outsource their design or other aspects of the skill sets which have been defined in this RFP. The process takes too long for our needs and when we need something modified, it needs to be modified fairly quickly and by the one person who completely understands their position and duties.
**Technical Requirements - **
The basics:
HTML4 XHTML Transitional to HTML5, CSS2-CSS3. FTP and / or SSH. General skills with a variety of CMS and web scripts.
The “Not So” Basics -
Forward thinking, fresh and unique design abilities. Ability to implement modern design standards. (e.g. Responsive design techniques) and general knowledge of existing and emerging web software technologies.
Technical “Pluses” -
Javascript, PHP and MySQL are not required, but are a big plus.
