GM is pushing Google Gemini out to about four million newer Cadillac, Chevy, Buick, and GMC vehicles via OTA update, which is a pretty big in-car AI.
Cool, now my car gets to hallucinate directions too. I’m not anti-voice stuff, but I really hope they keep a dead-simple “just do the command” mode for climate/nav when the AI decides to get chatty.

“Oh nice” is exactly how they want this to feel — do you know if Gemini in these cars is actually running on-device at all, or is it basically a cloud mic that turns into a subscription lever later? honestly not sure on implementation.
