Has anybody noticed that the “targeted advertising” in gmail is about the most dumb thing ever?
Let’s have a look:
Email:
I email myself something about “wire/cable tutorial”
Ads:
Speaker wires, and towing cables
Email:
Girlfriend telling me when she gets off work.
Ads:
Never work again! Start your own business!
Anybody else noticed this?

That’s one of the best advertising you can get.
It is ALWAYS relevant. (well, almost always anyways) If you have a convo about webcams, and there’s an ad where you can buy those things 50% off, it’s **** interesting for both parties.

I never even notice em, so I really don’t care one way or the other

I don’t give them a glance either. (Like when “listening” to how to fill in those bubbles on standardized tests)
