You should try:
thank you, but i’ve already read this, it is really interesting and really well explained, but i need more about AI. I want to learn the most i can to make good games.
Understandable :D.
try “flash games demystified” , i planning on buying it myself, everyone who has it tells me its worth buying it. IT explains every aspect of games design in flash and allows u to build on what uve learned from it.
During my second year at UCSB as a computer science major I couldn’t wait to take an AI class. After taking the class, AI was about the last thing I wanted to program.
AI has been around for about 50 years and progress in the field is slow. What it comes down to is complex data structures and algorithms that are very tedious to code.
But don’t get me wrong, AI is a very important field and I fully support people that want to specialize in this field.
Is it just specialized for AI? cause last time i bought “flash mx game design” with the little frog, and it was really advanced, and it just talked about how to make games, and i didn’t see much AI. I want something that contains only AI. I’ll try to search the book you recommended, and i’ll see if it contains what i want.
I dont think there is a book that focuses only on AI. Just find a source that talks a bit about AI, and learn. I looked at marz’s AI tute, and learned alot by reading and experimenting.
I see, well i’m going to try and buy the book that “Skribble” recommended, and i hope it’s going to be good! Also, i found a book on AI, but i don’t know if it’s only focused on flash, here is the link:
Hmmm, interesting topic :). It doesnt specify, but I have a feeling its for any programming language (dont take my word for it, I could be wrong).
