Google AdSense, and other hoopla

I have a couple of Google thoughts/questions I’ve collected, so I decided I’d clump them all in one post.
[]If you go to Google Accessible Search, you’ll find that the copyright says 2006. However, if you enter a query, the copyright at the bottom says 2000. I emailed Google about this 4 weeks ago and still haven’t received a response. Not that it’s a big deal, but I’m building up to a larger point here…

]If you go to RateMyProfessors.com, you’ll notice that in the bottom right hand corner they are serving Google ads with a header above it that says “Support Our Sponsors.” I don’t see how this isn’t against the TOS, but if you think I’m wrong, please tell me why. The part of the TOS that I think it goes against:

Labeling Ads
Publishers may not label the ads with text other than “sponsored links” or “advertisements.” This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.

I emailed Google about this 4 weeks ago, and again, haven’t seen any change on the site or received a reply. I read a blog entry about 2 days ago (that I can’t seem to find again) where a guy contacted Google about a site that was asking users to click on AdSense ads. In 2 weeks, they had done nothing, so he contacted the advertisers that were putting ads on that site, and Google fixed it in like a day or two. The advertisers rewarded the guy with cash, electronics, etc… I’m not saying I’m considering doing this, I’m just making the point that it took greater lengths than should be necessary to get Google to do anything, especially with all the news recently about click fraud. Google should recognize that perhaps the most important resource in combatting click fraud are the users.

So, my first question is, have any of you ever emailed Google and received or not received a response?

On Digg, and some other sites I’ve seen, they have Google ads that look different from any others I’ve ever seen. On Digg, at the top, the ads look as though they’re separated, and when you roll over them the border and text colors change. It appears as though they’ve modified the JavaScript code, which is against the TOS. Is this the case, or is this just clever CSS? Or, do they have some kind of special agreement with Google. Regardless of how it was done, how can us small timers do something like this?
Sorry for the long post, but these are all things that have been bugging me. Thanks!
