I’m building a new system, and I need advice on a graphics card. We’re looking at an Athlon 64, 3200+, on an Asus K8V-X (754) mboard. I’m going to go for a gig of Crucial ram on two dims, PC3200. All of this will (probably) be powered by a (huge) 450W power supply. At any rate, the mobo has one AGP 8x slot.
I’ve been thinking about a 128mb Quadro, but I’d rather have 256 onboard. I don’t want to spend much over $200 though.
What do you guys think? FireGL, Quadro, Radeon, GeForce? What do you think is better (best)?
