Dear sir…
I was browsing your site and found this http://www.senocular.com/burnout/ where you load the map in form of grid system. Is this the same appraoch used by Y! Maps? I mean that the whole image is not loaded at the same time, instead it is loaded progressively only when the intended area enters the viewing area.
And also (I don’t know whether the approach above will helps), but I always had this flickering problem and performance issue with motion tweening a large and not-so-large image. I’m referring to sites like www.ff0000.com, www.nokia.com/nonstopliving where they used this huge image but they’re smoothly rendered while it scrolls, and it doesn’t weigh the processor. How’s that possible?
Oh and, I’ve been browsing this forum and senocular.com for such topic but find no luck, if anyone could point me to the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
