I tutor and teacher aid computer science and graphic com classes at my college. i’ve noticed with students where it’s like “how did they get into college” a growing trend which has become a severe pet peeve of mine:
double clicking on hyperlinks.
honestly. this one poor kid didn’t know what the start menu was, and he was in a 100 level course about PowerPoint. I told him to go to the website that had the assignment, and after 5 minutes we got there. but while we were trying to navigate there, he doubleclicked on every hyperlink.
After a while, i began to notice that A LOT of people do it. Today in my Java class, the teacher double clicked on a hyperlink.
Has anyone else noticed this or do it themselves?
