Having finished the campaign yesterday, I just spent about 2-3 hours online and I am convinced that nothing will top this game for another 5 years.
The shear hilariousness of the situations in free roam alone are worth the price tag.
Earlier I was cruising down the street when passed by a bus going the opposite direction at 90mph with two players shooting out of it. Behind the bus was a sedan with 3 more players shooting wildly in all directions, and chasing the whole lot of them were 4 police cars.
I was watching this spectacle and not paying attention to what was in front of me so I didnāt see the guy up ahead in the street firing an RPG in my direction. I looked round and swerved at the last second and the rocket hit a car beside me. My car, now flaming, was thrown into the air and I dived out, but I slammed into the windshield of an oncoming car and died.
It is possibly the greatest moment or sequence of moments I have ever experienced in a game.

I havenāt touched the online yet. That sounds like SOOOOOOO much fun.
The game says I am 33% complete. Does that mean missions or like EVERYTHING like unique jumps and crap?
Thatās everything - so jumps, pidgeons, etc, etcā¦ The missions are like 50-60% of the game, I think. (Total guess, but Iām almost done and Iām around there.)

So far I have done all the UL Paper missions, had to kill playboy or Dwayne, just did my first race for Brucie and knocked off a warehouse for loot for Packie. Just got a call from the Italians saying they want me for work. I think I have the whole left Island left as I have not been there yet.
Iāve had it for two weeks, and think Iām about half way through the missions. The mission Deconstruction for Beginners was by far the hardest Iāve done so far, but Iām now a bit further (say another five missions) than that.
Iāve just unlocked the assault rifle, fwoar.

Iāve been trying to spot the censored bits on the Australian version. So far Iāve come up with the following suspicions

In San Andreas, when you kicked the **** out of a pedestrian, theyād hit the ground, and the pool of blood would expand the more you kicked them while they were down. In GTAIV this doesnāt happen, and they donāt even bleed.
Occasionally, when you get in the car drunk, Roman will say āNiko, if you drink and drive, youāre a bloody idiotā - which Iām pretty sure is specific to the Australian version, as itās a slogan that has been lifted from a 10year+ ad campaign against drink driving.
When visiting a hooker, Iāve heard you canāt get different, ahem, services. I havenāt tried this though.
Iām running AU version as well. Would like to know this as wellā¦

4) Does Niko on the non AU release bleed when shot? or does his clothes stain? Do characters like your dates/mission character mention that your bleeding/clothes are stain with blood.
5) are the strippers at the strip clubs naked? or are they naked during private dances (not that i care, just trying to see what they took out)
Lissy what do you mean by visting a hooker ? you mean picking one up? or you talking about the strip girls? From what i know you can pick up a hooker by driving past them and running the L1 command when promptedā¦ go to a quiet area and you start to ārock the boatā; in the AU version you get the bumper view of the car jumping up and down while the non AU you see them going at it in a R rated sorta way.
I mean when you pick one up. I havenāt done it yet, so canāt say for sure, but I have heard that in outside AU versions you can get different services for different pricesā¦
Iām interested to know about the blood, especially if people comment on it, and stripper nudity as well.

Well, from what I could tell from the hour I had the gameā¦even when you had āsexā with your āgirlfriends,ā you donāt actually see anything (I guess they learned that the hard way the first time). So itās just really annoying stupid sounds lolā¦
Yeah, the camera gets a fairly small amount of blood spatters if you get hit up close, but thatās it. Thereās a disappointing lack of gore, Tony Hawk is bloodier, ffs!
