I’m new to the forums and I’m also a bit of a Flash novice so I hope someone can help me with this question.
I was really pleased to find Kirupa had provided the Headlab newsflasher component which I have adapted for use on my site. It all works fine apart from one vital thing - it says that I can include hyperlinks but it doesn’t explain how. The txt file that I downloaded included a lot of HTML code that is hidden in the Headlab example swf file, but when I use the same code in my own project, all the code is visible in the newsflasher swf.
I can remove all the code and leave only the text (seperated by the ‘|’ symbol and it still works fine. The only problem is that I can’t make hyperlinks! I used the following line in the text file:
<a href=“http://www.headlab.de” target="_blank">THIS IS A HYPERLINK</a></u></p>|
but again, it just comes up as part of the scrolling text in the swf and the hyperlink doesn’t work.
I hope this all makes sense. Sorry if I sound like an idiot but please help!
