Health Bar

In my animation there is a health bar at the bottom of the screen, it has 4 key frames each with stop on them apart from the 4th which will gotoAndStop(“lose”, 1);

In each of the enemies MCs I have (on the firing animation) a command that says health.play(); however it just does not affect my health animation which was rather unexpected.

So any of you Flash wizards know what shenanigans are causing this?
