Hello everyone, I just joined. I have used your tutorials before, but never needed help until now. Here is my issue. I am a Spanish teacher and I am trying to create interactive games for my students. I want to do that for both vocabulary and large number practice.
For vocabulary I want to have a generic button students press to hear a word. They then have to click on the right picture for that word from all the pictures on the stage. If they click on the right picture they get applause and if they get it wrong they get a Homer Simpson “duh”. How do I set this up where it selects only the right picture for that one sound file?
For numbers it’s even more complicated. I have set up the stage with numbers from 0 to 9 and 7 blank counter spaces. When the students hear 8 976 540 in Spanish, for instance, they need to click on the right number in the right sequence (8 first, 9 second, 7 third… etc.) The numbers/sound files vary from the thousands to single digit millions. I want the students to receive immediate feedback when they have the right sequence AND when they put that digit in the right column from the 7 blanks (i.e 8 can only be dragged to the first one of the seven blanks, not the second or third). Is that possible? How difficult would that be? Is it something I need to do in actionscript with if then statements or true false parameters. I don’t know much about actionscript besides the very, very basic stuff. Thanks for any help on that matter.
