Help me... need to be secure

My computer is having much for common attacks from emails and else where. Mainly email is a very big issue.

WHat are the BEST FREE software out there for:
-scanning all incoming emails (i use outlook)
-checking for open ports and blocking them

The scanning email for me is very very important, what is the best email scanning program, also it would be very helpful if it had the option to remove viruses from the email rather than delete the email.

thanks! btw, i use bitdender, zonealarm and AVG. however, AVG doesn’t work well. I did a test and it almost passed all viruses!

on google it’s free and haasn’t failed me yet

I have the paid version of firewall, at it’s just wonderful. Mind you, firewalls don’t stop viruses - they stop hackers. For viruses I recommend AVG because it has missed nothing and then use the online scanners at http://housecall.trendmicro.com and [url=“http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/Msie/”]www.bitdefender.com/scan/Msie/ For spyware, I reccomend a combination of using adaware 6 ([url=“http://www.lavasoft.com/”]www.lavasoft.com) and spybot (google it)
