I have been trying to make a preloader that is nothing too technicaljust like a standard loading bar, but with the exception of having the masked out shape (which forms the shape of the bar) a little smoother around the edges i.e. it has a gaussian blur filter applied to it.

You can see the preloader is basically the outline of the door, so I’m trying to make it fit in with the design, so hopefully make the loading bar flicker like the light of the door. Or at least be feathered out around the edges rather than the typical crisp vector edge. If only I could tween the mask on the loader?
Is there a better way of doing this or perhaps by adding a few more lines of actionscript?
