I’ve just upgraded to MX 2004 and tried to type in an extended character but it just won’t work. I usually do this by using Character Map to find the symbol I want, copy and paste. In this case it’s WingDings 3 Char 0xCB, an arrow.
In Flash it looks like this: Ë.
I’ve tried Dynamic, Static Input and actually importing the font, yet none will give me the right character.
I wound up pasting it into Freehand then converting it to an object there, then copied and pasted into Flash. Not an ideal workflow, especially as it worked fine in MX
