I am currently working on a new media presentation that involves video, images and type to be used on just a normal desktop. The exported .swf is around 50mb but for some reason it dies around the 8 minute mark of the 10 minute movie. The system I’m running it off of is a 2.2 ghz processor with 512mb of RAM. Is internet explorer not made to handle files that size? Can anyone help??? It’s very urgent!!
Go into File -> Publish Settings in flash. Republish the file as a .exe file them it should work fine.
It’s also worth noting that when dealing with very large movies, sometimes it’s better to split it up into several smaller ones and link them together.
