Hi,
I’m playing with the creation of controlled 3D on files based on the 3D tutorials on this site. But I’m confused about navigating the 3D object in 2D space:

Here’s my issue.
When you take a look at the top animation on this page, rotate the cube around it’s y-axis 90 degrees (mouse to the right of the cube), then move your mouse down to rotate it around the z-axis, but instead it seems to rotate around the x-axis. And when you take the file apart that indeed seems to be the case.
Is this just the way it is in Flash, simulating 3D in 2D? Do the axis shift relatively somehow? Is there a dog somehow involved and I’m more a cat person than a dog person?
Hope this makes sense, and someone here can help it make more sense to me.
Thanks!
