was hoping to get through the rest of my site without having to post again…
I’m using the Kirupa ‘Sliding menu’ as detailed here:

Recently however, my .swf has started to display a glitch, whereby the buttons which scroll the movieclip stop working after a short time, effectively freezing the site. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? It seems to have started to occur recently, while I was optimizing my site by swapping out my (embarrassingly large) .jpegs for much smaller ones, although I’m sure that’s not what’s causing the problem. Now it happens every time I test my .swf, as well as in the final published site (www.lauriekono.com/troy - try clicking on the menu buttons for a short time and see for yourself). I should add that publishing in Flash 7 didn’t seem to stop the bug, and neither did removing the “loadSound” lines of code (in case streaming the sound was causing a conflict).
I’ve tried everything I can think of - does anyone else have an idea?
