Help! where does the preloader go?

Hi,

There are loads of tutorials on how to make preloaders, but none of them explain where to put it!

So if I load in a SWF into a container movieclip on the main stage would the preloder go on the first frame of the main movie, the loaded SWF or the container clip?

Its different depending on your stuff, but for you probably in the loaded swf - first frame.

i like to put it into its own scene, it makes it easier to change the preloader and makes the timeline a bit easier to understand

if you are wanting to load all the swf’s in the container u will do it from the container… but if u want them all to load separately you would do it in each one… its pretty straight forward :smiley:
