Help With LoadMovie

Would anyone be good enough to look at the attached. I’m having trouble with the green text (“Text Jumps”). It momentarily disappears between movie1 and movie2 when the button that loads movie2 is clicked. Although it’s a little hard to see the brief interruption when viewed in a browser (I think because the movie is so small and loads quickly), it’s very pronounced in my REAL layout which uses this format, but the movies (.swf files) are much larger.
Is there anything I can do to keep the text symbol constant from one movie to the next using a button like I’ve shown here???

Well you cant. Because you load in a different swf you will get a slight flicker.

Sorry.

…bummer, but thanks for the response.

i can’t really understand what you’re trying to do (maybe too much stella), but can’t you just use scenes rather than loadMovie?

I was just trying to get the same graphics to stay on stage from one swf to the next without the brief interruption that occurs with the LoadMovie…that interruption is simply a function that can not be illiminated when loading movies according to the previous poster. kO2n. A lot of people on this forum advise us to use LoadMovie instead of Scenes…but I did make a couple of my swfs with 2 scenes–seems to work well and illiminated the interruption. Thank you for the help and response. I don’t know what you mean by too much “stella.”

cool. loadMovie is very useful when large sections are involved, but not really that benificial when it’s just a couple of small MCs. oh, and stella artois is a beer.

Another way to go if you need to keep graphics or text consistent throughout when switching movies, is to put all your common graphics or text in a movie on a lower level.

rolando.
Thanks for the pointer, you had another good way around the problem.
no bone, Stella Artois is a new brand to me…where’s that imported from?

belgium.
