Hello!
I’m currently making a tutorial that has five main steps. However my boss would like me to give the user a choice as to whether to continue on to the next step or view a movie that gives a more detailed explanation of the previous step. He also wants this to be put on a website (the tutorial is for workers at a hospital). My concern right now is this- I initially had converted the .fla file to quicktime format to allow the people to just watch the streamed movie (the tutorial has streaming sound)- originally it wasn’t supposed to be interactive- just more like a movie. But now that my boss wants to put in some interactivity, how should I go about doing this- keep it in swf format? The swf file is already roughly 6.5 mbs (the .mov file was ~5.5 mbs), and with the added detailed explanation movies integrated into the file I’m guesstimating that the .swf’s file size could go up to about 10 mbs easily, which is a big problem for me since I don’t have the added luxury of streaming the file like I did when it was in .mov format. Is there a way to keep the more detailed explanation movies seperate from the main movie while at the same time having them seemlessly integrated? Or is there a better way to go about this entire project?
Any advice on the best way to structure this project so that its more web friendly would be very much appreciated!
Cheers
