I am new so apologies if the question is dumb. I would like to set up a navigation system like http://www.voormeij.com. I cannot find how to do it in your book. I ‘imported’ it but I cannot read HTML so I am totally lost. Any help would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Ann
Hey ann,
No need for any apologies - we are all here to learn. The web site you linked has its navigation done in an image format. There is no real text - just text in an image format. You can use tables and try to replicate the effect seen on that page, but with simple text, the effect of that page simply will not be there.
Cheers!

WOW! You are quick to help!
The way he has the vertical list of parent pages, followed by the vertical listing of child pages of the page you are on, is done with a table?? How do you make most of the table invisible like he has done? It is nice with the vertical bar and the short dividers.
Thanks again,
Ann
Hey Ann,
To make a table invisible, simply right click on the table and select Table Properties. The Table Properties dialog box will appear - simply change the value of “Borders” from 1 to 0. You will make the tables invisible.
To shade in portions of a table’s borders is a little bit tricky. Right click on the cell that you wish to shade and select Cell Properties. From the dialog box that appears, press the Style button. The Modify Style dialog box will appear. Press the Format button and select border.
The borders and shading window will appear - here is where you will add the partial borders. In the area marked Preview, you will see four buttons that stand for the four lines that make up your cell. Press the appropriate cell button to lineate that portion of a cell.
You can easily adjust the style of the line drawn, the thickness, and the color so you can customize the cell to your liking. I have attached an image to show you how it would look if I only wanted the bottom line of a cell shaded.
I hope this helps. If you need any further help, please don’t hesitate to reply back.
Cheers!

Big giant thanks!! This looks perfect! And thanks too for the offer of further help. I think I better DO Module 6 first instead of just reading it.
