I went to school to study Computer Networking…
Didn’t do anything in school but get high, and play with Flash and VS.Net …
Graduated with a 3.6 GPA - and got a job working as a Quality Assurance Engineer @ Verizon.
I have an interview in 2 weeks for the position of Jr. Developer (still, not a field I went to school for) working on Integrated Voice Response telephone systems…
I want to work on cars, build furniture, create USEFUL applications (rather than IVR ****), or move to Canada…
But I chose to do the ‘hot jobs’ thing and wound up working for a company that works on the two things I hate most in this world…
Telephones, and Automated Telephone Systems…
I hate my life…
And you know what… THE **** STILL DOESN’T WORK!
Mostly, I get paid $16/hr to read the forums @ Kirupa.com and work on other projects.
Don’t do the ‘hot jobs’ thing… Do what you like, learn from it, expand, and create your own friggin hot job.

btw.: Prostitiution in Germany is legal and there was a report about a bordell owner some time ago on german television. - You don’t really have to speak german to understand his arguments.

wow, well thanks for the input, especially to kedaeus. I think I have made my decision, probably mechatronic engineering. Sound fun? maybe. Still need to do some more research first
