What do you do for a living?

Since we seem to be digging up more and more personal information about each other in all of these threads… I figured I’d ask. What does everyone do as a profession?

I’m still a student, but I’ve got a little summer internship at a lab, and do some web development on the side. You next!

I used to be a programmer mostly dealing with VB and ASP/SQL on the interactive side but got tired of it, moved to USA and for the last couple of years been freelancing. Mostly AS/PHP/SQL although I’ve done some linux and apache works.

So far I’m earning a sweet wage so I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon :stuck_out_tongue:

Web Developer (Application Development).

Full Time Student (I only take 1 class per each summer semester because of work).
… 3.5years and hopefully Certified Public Accountant.

//edit, that would be awesome to be a full time student without a job. :frowning:

In just 3 weeks I will be full time ‘Junior PHP Web Developer’, I preferred the job title I had before the full time: ‘part time hero’.

Junior AS3 developer at a web design agency in Paris, and learning server side scripting whenever I have some free time

Now, student and unemployed.
I am aiming to be a working musician someday

I’m part of a top secret US anti-terrorism operation. We hunt dangerous terrorists throughout the world, routing them before they can do real harm to innocent civilians. It’s a dangerous, but very rewarding profession…

Heh, not. I’m still a student here, obviously I run Thinkpoint in my free time. And this summer, I’m working at ICO Global Communications again…I learned a ton and had an enormous amount of fun last year. I even got paid for it, my expectations are even higher this year.

I am a slayer of dragons, plunderer of loot, and professional deflowerer of virgins.

sound like a pretty cool thing to do for a living

Cowboy; starting pre-med in the fall.

Last 3 years: Web Developer.
Now: Full time student in college.
Future: Portfolio Manager/Financial Advisor/Derivatives Specialist.

Web designer/developer, but I’m pretty bored with it.

Sebby is going to do Uni in England come September for 3 years and he will be studying Network Computing.

My mother told me never to trust anyone who refers to themselves in the third person.

I play with printers and build little apps on the side (though I don’t get paid for the latter).

I breathe for a living.

Penguins don’t count you know.

What a coincidence, I tolerate that.

I wish your border control oiks had been more tolerant when I visited. I was sorely tempted to point out the wording in my passport from their same Queen: “Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires you to allow the bearer to pass freely and without hindrance”

I’m a video store clerk part time, it satisfies all of my needs (good movies for a cheap price). Full time I work as a “Customer Service” technician for Cox communications (although they outsource to a different company). I get those calls where people ask stuff like “what is a rooter (when they mean to say router).”
