So… okay… I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to set up my hotmail account in Microsoft Outlook 2000?? And if it is possible could someone tell me how do do it??
I am pretty sure you can do it in Outlook Express but i would rather do it in Outlook… so…
Thanks in advance…

Note: I accidently wrote 2003 in the title… it should be 2000…
hmm… well… i went to tools acounts and then to add mail…
then a internet connection wizard came up… i put in my name as it asked me to do… then my e-mail address at hotmail… and then i told me too put in a POP3 Sever name for incoming and outgoin e-mails…
What is the address for the POP3 server for hotmail?? if u know??
When u say OE do u mean Outlook Express or Outlook?? Cause from what i have been looking around and seeing is that it is very easy to do on Outlook Express but im not sure about Outlook 2000…
And thoose POP3 and SMTP severs didnt work… i read somewhere that hotmail doent have them… or i dont know…
you can’t have hotmail with outlook nor any mail messenger system because hotmail does not support pop (incoming) external mail servers - it has to be done inside their hotmail.com pages…
oh and I don’t think your outgoing server (smtp) can possibly be hotmail since it’s not hotmail that gives you your internet connection… Generally speaking your smtp address contains your ISP’s name…
yeah… i think it will only work on Outlook Express… but it wont on Outlook 2000… i think it will on 2002… but not 2000… cause on the hotmail help thing it gives intrustions for 2002…
tahts somethingi noticed too, it almost seems that outlook cant do the same things as OE, but i still use it every now and then, but lately i just use webmail cause my other account is to flooded. cant really help you, but good luck! its tehre you just gotta search.
is there a way you can forward it to an existing account?
Wow!! thanks man!! I really thought it was goin to work!! so i exported the stuff then imported it and then…
“The HTTP mail store could not be created” pops up in outlook… so… alas… didnt work… but i just have it set up in OE now… so i guess that will have to do…
But thanks everyone for trying so hard to help me!!
