How can insert sprites from the IDE?

Hello! That’s my simple question
How can insert sprites from the IDE? when I press f8 the only options are MovieClip, Buttons and Shapes.
If I export to ActionScript aI can change the class to Sprite, but I want to inser a Sprite directly from the IDE.
