how do they do this effect:

click on the little “o” then collections then man, then click on one of the models.
basically their animation is, click on the image of a model it fades in larger–> then click on larger image to make it disappear…
is each initial button of the models hold a movie clip??? and thats how they fade things in and out???
i tried a couple different ways but it ddnt work out
