I.e if i choose some crazy font does it get embedded, so that if the person that runs it doesnt have the font on their pc it doesnt matter?

Yeah, Flash embeds all the fonts in the swf file.
Don’t use crazy fonts too small though - they can be a bit blurry. Fonts specifically designed for Flash are best at small sizes.
It’s up to you to embed or not the font.

I dont really want to embed crazy stuff, just wanted to use some of the wingding characters which older pc’s might not have.
Are they embedded by default?
If you use static text, then yes, they are embedded by default.
If you want input and/or dynamic text, there’s an option on the properties panel to embed the font.
