How i can add PNG image in custom component?

This is my custom Component.
<components:EmployeeDisplay imageFile=“abrilliam.[COLOR=#FF0000]png[/COLOR]”/>

Can you help me please how to add png format image.
when i add png format image that time this image not displayed.
what can i do?
