on flashlevel.com, the mouseovers on the buttons a small flame looking thing, more like a lazer with smoke comes out. Does anyone know how to achieve this effect? Im trying to make a lazer kinda rocket booster for a space ship. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im not sure but i think i read somewhere its just a bunch of jpegs placed inside a movie.
So u go to photoshop and you have your rocket booster and you apply diffrent settings to the flame and u save each one individually, say you save about 40 of them 
and you can have a smooth boosting effect one placed in a movie!
But then again im not 100% sure.
Yes, it is a bunch of images placed together.
This smoke effect can be easily attained in 3ds max and then exported as several transparent png or gif files and then imported into MX. The images are them looped to create the effect

yeah i figured thats what it was, i just can’t get that same look right in photoshop. guess ill keep trying.
