Every year, MS interns who will be graduating the following year are invited to Bill Gates’ house for dinner. So, I fit that category, and today, I and about 90 others went to his house. Overall, his home is amazing. It is just as good as the descriptions of it you can find on the web.
The best part of it all was, it was very casual. Casual enough to have me walk up to him and ask him a question about how MS will compete with companies that create products created by developers who are geographically decentralized (basically many open source software). He gave a good 15 minute response to it. Most of the top executives were there also, and I had a good conversation during dinner with the MS CIO.
Needless to say, I’m still giddy over the whole thing
