I just can't seem to grasp Flash

I don’t know what the problem is. On and off for the past like 2 years I’ve been trying to teach myself flash and I just can’t seem to do it. I am very profecient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and other softwares and code PHP and MySQL on a daily basis so I’m not a complete moron…atleast i don’t think i am. :bandit: But I just feel like I can’t grasp it. I just can’t seem to learn when to use what. When I should load movies into target movie clips, when I should use actionscript to animate and when I shouldn’t, when to use new scenes, etc. etc. I can’t really figure out how things are supposed to flow. Has anybody else encountered this when they started learning? Are there any good resources for stuff like this? I’ve tried a few different books but most seem to just cover basic stuff like tweening and using the various tools instead of actually applying it to real life stuff. I’m not looking to learn how to make games or anything, I want to make interactive sites. Any suggestions would be a huge help. Thanks!
