I keep getting “Run Time” errors when browsing the internet, its getting most annoying. Here is an example of what it says:
**
“A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?”
Line: 7
Error: Syntax error"
**
I don’t want to debug, I just want it to leave me the hell alone. Sometimes I get multiple errors like this. I recently formatted so it may have something to do with my IE options, any ideas how I can stop this?
I get that error when i’m on the net sometimes at school, i just click no, then continue going about my business. But yeah it can get annoying, and then if you hit “yes” it closes I.E. :pirate:
I get that error at school also. It’s in my programming classes. If you’re using C++ and a debugger, try turning the debugger off or something while you’re surfing.
The OS is Win98.
It comes up auto I always press “No” I am pretty sure it has something to do with the script on the pages (obviously). However some pages have several errors so I have to click “No” about 10 times! grrr!
I usually format the computer when I get a lot of run time errors They are often related to some driver issue with anything such as your gfx card, etc. Oftentimes, restoring kernel32.dll using Run | sfc.exe fixes that on Windows 98.
I went to the windows update site and got ALL essential updates it recommends I am still having problems :*(
I would format, only I did so pretty recently… and it has taken me ages to get all my stuff back.
I never had problems before I formatted…
Hmm drivers, I think its unlikely as I have had no problems in the past with them and formatted about 10 times previously - they are all on the CD I have which also has windows 98 on it. Its all built into 1 CD which makes it easy to format but I can’t seem to access Windows98 separtely which in this situation is really annoying.
Could someone do me a favor and upload a Win 98 Kernel32.dll? I will then try restoring it as Kirupa sugegsted !
