Well I decided to “create” something I know well. I decided to use the following as a reference image.

I then used ovals, rectangles, and a little from my stylus to create this:

I eventually want to animate him after I grasp how to do so. I tried to create him with as many symbols I thought necessary (legs, feet, head, torso, etc). Can you guys just take a quick look and offer feedback to me? Do I need more shading, fix the shading, add more symbols to make animation easier (ie walk cycles, etc)?
Do I finish off the tail symbol even though not all of it is seen?
I just need basic things like that answered.
And of course any overall critiques on my first “drawing” are welcome.
