I have a portfolio meeting on Wed at a school, and I need to draw something. Any suggestions? Keeping in mind im not the BEST drawer in the world (exactly why I am going into graphic arts)

so I suppose you’re not a very good closet either 
Anyway, just look out your window and draw something from what you see. don’t be too pressured if you can’t find anything, calm down and let the ideas flow in.
hands are good to draw, i had to do the same thing, basically have a little drawing pad and fill it up with drawing i do everyday, in the train i had drawn my hand holding my mobile fpr example turned out a nice little image.
Then you can draw a fist, and other hand gestures, that should take up some space, do the same with eyes, like show emotions, then maybe perspectives of stuff , look in your room, tables, monitor etc…
It depends on your skills……
I would stay away from drawing humans, there an abstract shape and can make getting the proportions difficult.….
I would draw something like a building or a vase on a desk, something with clear lines that you can easy judge perspective from.
It’s also always easier to draw things you like, so if you like cars, draw them…… If your skill is not up there, draw the car from side on so you don’t have to worry about perspective.

couple of nights ago I did a drawing of my old cellphone… and it turned out pretty good. but then i started to color it a bit, and it turned out like sh!%. so I was trying to find something else to draw… and I remembered that I was PRETTY good at just drawing eyes. So i did that, and I think i did a good job. so im gonna submit that.
