I'll buy new TV, tell me what you think!

hello guys,

i’ve just moved to new flat and i need to buy some stuff

i’ve searched for TV offers today, there are alot

TV, TV+DVD player. but what confuse me the most is the size and the trademark

Which is better, buy small size ( 14 or 15 ) with good trademark like phillips or samsung or large size ( 20 or 21 ) with other trademarks like Goodmans or ADA ?

14 inches phillips + DVD player is the same price as 20 inches Goodmans !

what would you do ?

any suggestions ?

what would you do ?

Hmmm…

I have never heard of either of those brand. Why dont you look at some online sites that sell the Goodmans or ADA brand to see if there is any user feedback system like on Amazon.

I buy branx x stuff too sometimes and I am yet to get burned.

Same here.

ducks down in cover, waiting for something to explode

Google it. “TV_model + review”

keep your components separate. That way when one goes bad you don’t lose both. Cheaper repair fees to.

goto ebay.com and search for 17" LCD screens very cheap

well philips are legendary in the design stakes! (i did some freelance for them :P)

so you wont go far wrong… but samsung are a solid japanese manufacturer too…

to be honest the japanese are so far ahead of us in consumer electronics, you will be fine with them

i had a Goodmans hi-fi for 4 years and it was fine! but id go with samsung personally, cos Philips aint worth the extra dollar!

Do what I did:

Buy* a Sanyo TV from Walmart.

*Walmart has this warranty with Sanyo where you can return any Sanyo TV for full refund up to a year.

Within the past year my parents have bought two 20" flatscreen (normal tv size, the screen is just flat) for around $100 each from walmart. They haven’t had any trouble with them.

I say just go for the off brand cheap tv…if it lasts a year you will probably have gotten your money out of it.

Same thing for DVD players…I believe I saw one for like $15 the other day (it costs less than a new DVD!).

I’d say ‘Samsung’ too.
Not only for quality purposes.
Philips just closed down a 300 employee facility at my hometown.

get like a 40inch widescreen
