There are two things I am trrying to pull off. First I would like to add ablue fade effect to my webpage just like the one on this flash website intro. (look at the blue fade background).
Also I would like to pull off the line effect look (look at this page). Anyone knows how I can do this ar read where it from somewhere?
looks to be just motion tweens while adjusting the alpha…on the fading blue youare reffering to (with a kinda high fps rate) Do you need help with tweening?. The line thing I saw a tut for it…I’ll see if I can find it for you. It is not very hard to do. I will look but if you wanna look also there is a sticky post above this one with all the tuts in the world. You may find it b4 I do.
Take the SQUARE Marquee tool and using the info panel (set it to pixels by clicking the arrow and choosing pixels)make a square form top to bottom of the image and only 2PIXELS WIDE.
Press Cntrl+J (PC).
Now on the new layer press Cntrl+T (PC) and drag to the side.
Thanks for the tutorial, it works but I have a problem letting the image smoothen into the stretched pixels.
@ blue effect:
On the ana carolina page, play the intro. When you see the flowers moving around, there is a bluish background effect. I would like to know how to pull off THAT effect.
That blue effect is not done in flash. That is most likely a raster image done with Adobe Photoshop.
As far as the line goes, you can use photoshop to create that effect.
You basically take a one pixel column and copy it to the side, and keep going…
Mdipi.com seemed to have the right idea, or you can try this method…
Open your photo in photoshop, and click and hold on the rectangular marquee tool. Choose the single pixel width tool, and select part of your image.
Hit CTRL + C to copy, and then CTRL + V to paste. Then with that same layer selected, hit ‘V’ to change to the selection tool, and then hit CTRL + ALT and the Right Arrow. This will copy that single pixel row one pixel over. Then hit hit CTRL + ALT and the Right Arrow again until you get the desired effect. Hope that was clear enough for you… Good luck
