Just recently I had to reformat so I backed up the XML Ipod Library File as well as the Itl file (just in case) so that I wouldn’t lose all my songs next time I synched my iPod. So I tried to import the XML file but it would only import songs that I put back on my HD (the one’s iTunes could locate). Is there no way to get at the very least the titles in the Library even if they’re not ACTUALLY on my HD that way they don’t get erased when I synch the file? Because it would be a huge pain to have to re-rip music of CD’s and put everything back on etc :(!
