"importing" html pages into flash blank movie clips?

Is it possible I want to get a URL say from yahoo and load it into a blank movie clip maybe using a mask to show a scrollbar to scroll that content? So far all ive seen was that using a loadMovie(getURL)) combo just opens a page outside of flash and pops up out of the site.

I haven’t tried maybe loading a xml into flash since Ive used xmls but I haven’t seen anything while searching the forums for any answers on how to dynamically bring a website outside of a flash site such as a php and fill the info into flash is it possible?

I know I could use frames in Dreamweaver and bring the content in there but I want the site to be pure Flash since it is allready animated and ready to go.

You cannot load html pages into flash. You can load a lot of things but an html web page is not one of them. You can load html formated text and xml files!!

Nah. Then Flash Player would have to have a full page parser (and therefore be a web-browser… and giant), or it would always change depending on your browser, which defeats the point of using Flash.

That sucks I guess Ill just have to keep them as open blanks then but thanks anyways
