Importing Photoshop Desgined Interface within Flash

Hi fellows. Thanks for reading. I was hoping you guys could help me with pointing me to a tutorial or give a brief tip on importing your interface look within flash.

Is it better to use png or gif to keep transparency?

Now that I have an interface ready in a psd, where to go from here?

i use png… but not too sure if that is better than gif…

I use .gifs. I dunno.
If you have your file as a .psd, you have to go back into photoshop and save it as a different format. I use File>Save For Web so I can see different variations and sizes when PS optimizes the picture.
(-:

Just “Export for web (gif)” (check the bg color) and import it in to flash…

i use that often, only thing you must lookout for is the size (kb’s) of you images… cos flash (designers rule) cant be very big…

flash is vectors,
photoshop bitmap…
shouldn’t even start designing in PS
if it’s to be used in Flash,
except maybe to get an idea of the layout.
draw it in flash, keep the filesize down…

i use gif…try saving it as web then check transparency…gives me a fairly good output with a small file size…

Marius check this link out http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20840 same applies for flash mx.
