In the linkage option what is the export in first frame option about?

cos it is cosing me problems with my preloader…

can someone explain to me what this option does?

If you use the linkage property you MUST export to frame 1 (which in essence is frame 0 before your preloader).

I don’t know a way around it, but this option needs to be checked because since you are obviously loading it through AS (otherwise no reason for this to be checked) the object MUST be loaded before your movie uses it. This is Flashes way of assuring this happens.

It really sucks!

hehe thanks
i got it now

can tell me the difference between loadSound and attachSound?

Different questions, different threads, eudora  That way the serch is easier (even though nobody really uses it).

And Lost, you’re wrong about that (fortunately). The thing is, if you don’t export in the first frame, the clip HAS to be put on the scene before it is actually attached. So the comon way is to manually put all the symbols you’re going to attach in the first frame, outside visible part of the scene.

pom

why nobody uses attachSound and loadSound?
i find them extrememly useful to deal with sound objects

anyway

what if the thing that i am exporting to AS is a sound file?

ok i got it to work now after searching the forums
