Indie games feel best when they don’t explain everything

I keep coming back to how much better some indie games feel when they trust you to fumble around a bit. The ones that spell out every system up front often play smoother, but they can lose that little spark where you feel like you discovered something yourself.

Maybe that’s just my bias from liking weird browser games, but I’m curious where people land on it. Do you want your indie games to be legible fast, or a little mysterious for longer?
