Initial loading of a page

Hi,

I am just wondering, how does the loading of a page works. I mean, does the page (website) loads from top to bottom. Images first? or text first? or just anything that loads the fastest first.

Thought of this when I found that my site loads the content first but left out the background to be the last to reflect. Get what I mean? Its like the content is loading, appearing, but so as to make sure that all the content have already on the page, the background will only be reflected. Hope you get what I mean. But the thing is, it only happen in Firefox. Not in IE. In IE, seems like the browser loads the entire page, then reflect all of the page’s content at one go.

Hope someone have a clue.

P.S: Here’s my site, www.digiwerkz.com . Hit reload and you will notice it. Try the same in IE. You will note the difference. Is there any way that I can make FF to render my page like the way IE does? Or am I an idiot here…haha. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers,
Howie
