I recently put together a large scale animation comprised of many movie clips, which consist of long frame-by-frame animations. The .swf size 3,745k.
When I’m uploading the .swf to my site, the transfer shows 4,302,011 bytes.
Here’s the “stupid question” bit. Is this file simply way too big to present to dial-up web visitors? There is a nice preloader. It takes roughly 10 seconds on a cable/dsl/t1 line.
