I created an SWF presentation using Flash 8 and would like to be able to burn the presentation to a CD so the user can install the presentation locally on their hard drive and run / view it that way. So the CD is only used to install the presentation, not to play it.
Ive never created an installer of any kind, so this is all new to me. I was wondering what tools I might need to aquire or if Flash 8 has the ability to create something like this for me?
I know its possible to create an .exe out of the SWF but that would only be part of my issue. We need it to install / copy the files to the user’s local hard drive so they can take the CD out of their drive and access the presentation from their hard drive.
So essentially the installer would create a folder for the presentation on their hard drive, copy the presentation to that folder, install the Flash 8 plugin, and create a shortcut to the presentation on their desktop.
Does anyone have any information as to how I might best achieve these results? Any help is appreciated.
