Installed Vista on a 4 Year old Comp

I have a fairly old computer that acts as a file/media server for the rest of the computers at home. It’s a P4 2.2, 512MB, 30GB system with a Radeon 9600 graphics card. I decided to take one of my monitors from another comp, hook it up to this computer, and install the recent beta-version of Vista on it.

Surprisingly it works decently, and it even got a higher rating than my primary laptop. It seems like the graphics card really is a big factor in how well a comp runs Vista, since all of the GUI work is offloaded to it. Which might be why I can get away with running all of my apps on 512MB:

I’m going to play around with this for a little bit longer before setting IIS7 up and moving it back to the basement where this will hopefully run until I return home for the holidays in a few months.
