I’m relatively new to Flash and am working on a site in CS3 for a film editor that will contain a dozen 30 sec. movie files. The site will be a redesign of an existing flash site. It was made about 5 years ago and uses ActionScript 1.0. As of now the clips are accessed thru javascript pop up windows but my client would like them to be a part of the Flash movie. In order to keep the file size down, I would love to use the component video player but it’s looking like I can only use that with ActionScript 3.0. I’d rather not have to redo the AS for the entire site.
I’m concerned about embedding the .mov files because of increasing the .swf size. I have researched this on the internet and have read a lot of information but I’m still unclear as to exactly what my options are for working with an older file like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
