Firstly apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere - I’ve had a quick look but couldn’t find it. :h:
I remember reading about changes to IE which will mean a pop-up confirmation window will appear for all Flash content. It’s mentioned on the Macromedia site at: http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/activecontent/
On my own site - http://www.schoolhistory.co.uk I use Flash in two ways. For the menu bar thing I have a javascript detection to see if the user has Flash or not and then use Flash or a replacement image.
Other parts of my site where I’ve got games etc. I use the auto-produced code from Flash - see source at http://www.schoolhistory.co.uk/games/penaltyshootout/henryviii.htm
So, my question - what solutions are other people coming up with? I really don’t want to have external javascript files all over my site Is my best bet to use javascript within each page - and will that even work?
Thanks for any ideas.
