I just did a search for iPod and all the threads were in Random, so I hope this is okay here.
Christmas is coming up soon and I have nothing in particular that I would like so I was thinking of getting a new MP3 player and had some questions.
My current player is a 30GB Creative Zen and it works fine but there are a couple of things I don’t like about it.

The monochromatic screen with the blue backlight is very difficult to read and makes driving at night dangerous.

The connection in my car is via the FM wire and is turned on by a switch. The sound quality is fine but it is very quiet in comparison to the regular radio/CD player so I end up having to turn both the stereo and Zen volume up. The more I turn the Zen volume up the more it becomes a bit distorted and takes away from the music.
So here are my iPod questions:

Is iPod the devil? (My prior theory was, yes

Are there good car connection options? I would like a setup where it can work with my stock radio ('01 Grand Am) and sound good both quality and volume wise.

The latest iPod is the video iPod correct? They no longer produce the older versions of it?

Would I have any troubles putting my current MP3s on it?

Is iTunes the only place I could buy songs from? Most places are the same price, but I am just wondering. Also, how is iTunes when it comes to B-Sides from singles?
Thank you for any help or suggestions. I am very intrigued by the idea of a color screen and the sleekness of the iPod and the potential for a good car setup. And the price really seems reasonable for all you get!
